We’ve all got to start somewhere! For you, that might mean a small collection of modular terrain pieces to begin your journey with papercraft terrain. For me, that might mean helping by showing what a very simple little house might look like, and what you’d use to make it! That’s what Monday Maps are all about. Every now and again, we’ll put together a small map – maybe a building, or a dungeon, or even some caves – and show step by step how it can be assembled. We hope that by seeing some small ideas come together, you’ll get a better understanding of what the modular terrain sets are capable of doing for your game!
To get started, we’ve chosen a “humble home”. Based around a 3″x6″ base, this simple structure demonstrates the use of posts and walls to frame the house, using an optional extra tile to support the roof, and the trusses and roof itself. This is a great little starter home that we will build off of in future maps. You can find the Tudor Buildings Set that makes these pieces available on DriveThruRPG.
